From a very young age I loved drawing.

At school my favourite subjects were art and design. I went on to graduate with first class honours in multi-disciplinary design at Edinburgh Napier University.

My Granny taught me to crochet with wool and some years later I tried crocheting wire.

Jenny Moodie Design was born in 2010 and I relocated to the Sunshine Coast, QLD, Australia in 2016.

Graphite pencil drawings, on

smooth A4 layout paper, digitally coloured with several layers in Photoshop. The final product is a digital colour print.

Crochet Wire Jewellery

0.315mm colour enamelled copper core wire, crocheted using my Granny's 3mm metal hook, paired with semi-precious gemstones.

inspiration

I enjoy spending time outdoors and take inspiration from the natural world. I love the beautiful animals, flowers, patterns, textures and colours created by nature.

I also love natural gemstones and often jewellery designs will be based around these unique stones.

I discovered I can combine traditional and modern techniques and materials to achieve different outcomes.
